Naba Barta Guwahati : The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025, a district-level event under the Nodal District – Kamrup (M), was successfully organized at B. Borooah College (Autonomous) from March 22 to March 24, 2025. The event was jointly organized by B. Borooah College in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kamrup (M). The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Satyendra Nath Barman, Principal of B. Borooah College, who formally inaugurated the event. Jangjilong, Regional Director of NSS, NER, Guwahati attended the programme as guest of honour. Dr. Satyabrata Baruah, Programme Officer of NSS and Organising Secretary of the event, extended a warm welcome to the youth parliamentarians and emphasized the significance of such platforms in nurturing leadership, civic responsibility, and policy awareness among young minds.
A total of 150 participants actively engaged in the Youth Parliament, showcasing their knowledge, debating skills, and perspectives on ‘One Nation One Election’. The event witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including Chayan Suklabaidya, Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kamrup (M), and Dr. Diganta Choudhury, IQAC Coordinator, B. Borooah College. Following rigorous deliberations, 10 outstanding participants were selected to represent Kamrup (M), Darrang and Morigaon District at the State Level Youth Parliament, scheduled to be held on March 26, 2025, at the Assam Legislative Assembly.
