Naba barta Guwahati::, Minister of Finance, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Mines and Minerals, Government of Assam, Jayanta Malla Baruah, announced the allotment of 3 Bighas, 1 Katha and 2 Lechas of land at Ulubari, in the vicinity of B. Borooah College on 11 September.
The announcement was made on the eve of the 84th Foundation Day of B. Borooah College (Autonomous), in accordance with the commitment made by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, during the Foundation Day celebration in 2024.
In a well-attended gathering in the presence of teachers, students and office-bearers of the B. Borooah College Alumni Association, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah formally handed over the necessary land documents to the Principal, Dr. Satyendra Nath Barman.
The college fraternity expressed immense happiness and gratitude over this significant development and conveyed their heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah for fulfilling this important commitment to B. Borooah College.
